LG has now finally launched its new G2 smartphone in the Indian market. This is the latest flagship smartphone for the second half of 2013 from LG, the 16GB is priced at Rs. 41,500 and the 32GB is priced at Rs. 44,500.

The device is packed with powerful hardware, similar to the new smartphone offering from key competitors. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, clocked at 2.3GHz. It has 2GB of RAM and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS display with a full HD 1080p resolution.
The device sports a 13 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization, and a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera with an IR blaster. It is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and it is one of the first smartphones in the world which has the capability to relay 24-bit audio.

An interesting feature is that LG has introduced a slight design change than that of the current industry standards. It has placed the power button and the volume keys on back, just beneath the camera module. LG claims it is much better ergonomically.
The LG G2 is a device which runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is skinned with LG’s own Optimus UI. Users get access to a few interesting applications like Q-Slide, a multi-windows mode and new swipe gestures enabling efficient multitasking.
Two of its key competitors which exist in the Indian market are the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z1.
